Roche Diagnostics joins PHSSR

PHSSR is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with Roche Diagnostics, which joins the initiative as a project partner, working with PHSSR teams in Indonesia, France and the EU.

Roche Diagnostics is a global leader in in vitro diagnostics that develops medical tests and digital tools to help improve, prolong, and save lives around the world. This partnership reinforces the importance of timely and equitable access to early detection and accurate diagnosis as a cornerstone to improved care and effective use of healthcare resources.

“Diagnostics are a cornerstone to improved care and more resilient health systems, providing essential support for clinical decision-making and the effective use of resources,” said Stefan Seliger, Head of Global Access and Policy at Roche Diagnostics. “Strengthening diagnostics capacity is a critical shared responsibility. We are proud to join PHSSR in its vital mission to improve global health, and we are confident that our collective expertise and experience will make a meaningful contribution to this important work.”

Alistair McGuire, Professor of Health Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE), and Chair of the PHSSR Steering Committee, said: “We are delighted to have Roche Diagnostics on board, and excited about the unique capabilities and expertise it brings to PHSSR. Partnerships such as this are critical to providing effective, speedy solutions to the complex challenges global health systems face today.”

PHSSR’s existing global level partners include the LSE, the WHO Foundation, the World Economic Forum, AstraZeneca, Philips, and the Center for Asia-Pacific Resilience and Innovation (CAPRI). The partnership also includes additional organisations at the regional and national levels. In 2024, IQVIA joined PHSSR for the Policy Roadmaps project on acting early on non-communicable diseases.
